 WHO's Global Center for Traditional Medicine will be inaugurated in Jamnagar.  Bhumi Pujan will be performed by PM Modi today.  The center will be run in collaboration with the Central Government and WHO.  The center will be built on 35 acres of land at a cost of 250 250 million.  This center will be the first center in the world to manufacture Ayurvedic medicines on a traditional basis.  The research of traditional medicine will benefit 180 countries. The work of the center is planned to be completed by the year 2024.

 Preparations are underway for the closing of the Global Center for Traditional Medicine.  Two special domes have been specially designed for this purpose.  About 2 thousand people will participate in the Khat Muhurat program.  Apart from PM Modi, WHO Director General Dr. Tredros will also be present at the event.  Also present will be Mauritius PM Pravind Jugnath.  Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia and Union Minister for AYUSH Sarvan Sonowal will also be present.


 India will have a new identity in the medical field in the world

 The establishment of the world's first WHO Global Center for Traditional Medicine in India was announced by the WHO in 2020.  This time the central government has given Rs 3050 crore to the Ministry of AYUSH.  It will be the world's first and only WHO Global Center for Traditional Medicine, especially Ayurveda.  The direct effect of this will be seen in the promotion of traditional medicine in the country as well as in the investment in it.  This will not only make Ayurveda a good medical option, but will also make India its own special identity in the global medical field.

 It is pertinent to note that a recent Cabinet meeting decided to start WHO Global Center for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, Gujarat. In 2020, the World Health Organization announced the establishment of Global Center for Traditional Medicine in India.  Launched in Jamnagar, the center will be the first in the world to manufacture Ayurvedic medicines on a traditional basis.

 For this, an agreement has been signed between the World Health Organization and the Government of India.  The official statement said that the opening of the Global Center for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar and other initiatives would go a long way in helping India to develop traditional medicines.

 PM Modi lauded the contribution of the royal family

 Circumstances are such that the office space has been allotted to the WHO next to the dispensary of Jam Juansinhji of the royal family of GCET in Jamnagar.  The Prime Minister also paid a courtesy call on Rajvi Jam Shatrushailyasinhji of Jamnagar before the ground breaking ceremony and talked for 15 minutes and lauded the contribution of the royal family in the construction of Ayurveda University.
