Mahendra Singh Dhoni managed to hit the primary six of his innings and within the tournament within the third ball of the over...and it had been not over of THALA because the next ball was too sent sailing out of the stadium for a SIX!!! The second-last ball was too timed sweetly by Mahi as he completed his hat-trick of sixes to bring 200-up for CSK within the chase.
First match in Sharjah and that we got what we expected - a high-scoring match. RR edged CSK by 16 runs but it could are tons closer had Dhoni shown a touch more urgency within the final overs. Samson for RR within the first innings was so good, a number of the sixes that he hit were just pure class. Archer gave them the right finish with four consecutive sixes within the last over. CSK were always behind the pool ball within the chase and Tewatia made it harder with some quick wickets within the middle overs. an honest start for RR to the tournament.
With 217 on the board, we would have liked a really good start which wasn't the case. Steve and Samson batted alright . got to give credit to their bowlers. Once you've seen the primary innings, you recognize the length to bowl. Their spinners did well to bowl faraway from the batsman. Our spinners made the error of bowling too full. If we would've maybe restricted them to 200, it would've been an honest game. i have never batted for an extended time. 14-day quarantine doesn't help (why he isn't batting higher). Also wanted to undertake various things , give opportunities to Sam. Have the chance to undertake various things . If it doesn't work, you'll always return to your strengths. Faf adapted alright . Something the batsmen will do, neglect square leg and go more towards long-on and long-off."
Jofra Archer:"It's a pleasant feeling to urge over the road . Sharjah may be a pretty small ground, can't give them anything extra on this surface. I had to adapt, usher in the variations, there was many dew on this surface and that i think all the games during this ground are going to be similar. Spin didn't work here, I'd say, we did well to urge off to a robust start. It became difficult with pace back on, but by then, we already had 80 or 90 runs on the board."
